Our client, a construction and real estate firm requires the services of a qualified candidate for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct research into the feasibility, design, operation and performance of electrical generation and distribution networks, electrical machinery and components and electronic communications, instrumentation and control systems, equipment, and components
• Prepare material cost and timing estimates, reports and design specifications for electrical and electronic systems and equipment
• Design electrical and electronic circuits, components, systems and equipment
• Supervise and inspect the installation, modification, testing and operation of electrical and electronic systems and equipment
• Develop maintenance and operating standards for electrical and electronic systems and equipment
• Investigate electrical or electronic failures
• Prepare contract documents and evaluate tenders for construction or maintenance
• A thorough understanding of industry practices, processes, and standards and their impact on project activities

Qualifications and Requirements:

• HND/ BSc in Electrical Engineering or related field 
• To be a successful candidate for this position you will have:
• Extensive experience/knowledge of electrical contracting, design and management.
• Must be able to demonstrate at least 3 years of work experience as an Electrical Engineer 
• Familiarity with federal and local energy standards
• Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Superior written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximise employee performance.
• Understand BS7871 and knowledge in the start up, commissioning, and testing of electrical equipment
• Proficiency with PC based spreadsheets and word processing; Microsoft Project Management and Autocad 2010 Minimum

 

Experience: 

Minimum 3 years of experience in Electrical Engineering consulting/contracting Firm.
